Description
Sky view through derelict engine house window at the long abandoned Wheal Betsy mine on Dartmoor. The site, near Job's shaft, and the surrounding area were mined for lead, silver and tin from the1 700s until 1877. This is the last surviving engine house on Dartmoor, Devon in the southwest of England in the UK. Similar buildings are described and shown in the Poldark novels and TV adaptations in neighbouring Cornwall.

Thank you Jeff I appreciate your generous comment. These old, remote industrial sites fascinate me.
