Description
Sunlight catches the top of Temple Bar, one of the wonderfully idiosyncratic examples of Clovelly architecture. The building straddles the village's cobbled main street that leads down to the harbour quay. The cottage was once sketched by the artist Turner. Clovelly is an ancient fishing village clinging to the precipitous cliffs of the beautiful North Devon coast in the southwest of England in the UK. The higgledy piggeldy buildings appear as if they have tumbled down the cliffs. Vehicles are not allowed. Locals and tradesmen use sledges to haul goods up and down the narrow streets..
