Description
A stylised shot of the preserved ruins of St Catherine's Chapel and Almshouses buildings illuminated at night. The buildings were originally founded in 1457 in Exeter, Devon, SW England, UK. The ruins are a poignant reminder of the destruction of many of Exeter's medieval buildings during the Baedeker bombing raids of the German Luftwaffe when cultural cities were targeted during the Second World War, in this case in May 1942.
