Description
An old abandoned and derelict coastguard lookout frames the spectacular view along the narrow footpath on top of the remote headland of Higher Sharpnose Point. The promontory thrusts its immense mass of sheer rock into the wild Atlantic near to Morwenstow on the spectacular North Cornwall coast, SW England, UK.
Shaped by massive geological forces, the headland has sheer drops on both sides of around 300 feet (100m). This and other nearby jagged fingers of rock outcrops have proved treacherous for shipping, particularly in the days of sail and as this coast faces the full might of the Atlantic Ocean. Taken whilst walking the remote coastal path.
