Loved this bench at the ancient, quaint fishing village of Clovelly which is perched on the sheer cliffs of North Devon. Level surfaces seemed to be scarce here and stones plentiful!

It's a fair old climb from harbour to car park. Mind you if you time it well there are a couple of pubs and tea rooms for refreshments where you could have the obligatory Devonshire cream tea! If that induces lethargy rather than renewed vigour then there is always a Landrover service that can take you back an alternative route! (Not sure they use the donkeys for people anymore or the sledges!) :)
