Our luxuriously soft beach towels are made from brushed microfiber with a 100% cotton back for extra absorption. The top of the towel has the image printed on it, and the back is white cotton. Our beach towels are available in two different sizes: beach towel (32" x 64") and beach sheet (37" x 74").
Don't let the fancy name confuse you... a beach sheet is just a large beach towel.

Walking south during a very low tide along Sandymouth beach North Cornwall towards Northcott Mouth, north of Bude, Cornwall, England, UK. Just appearing is All that is left of the the wreck of the 1,925 ton Portuguese steamship "Belem" (formerly the German SS Rhodos) stranded in thick fog at Northcott Mouth, Bude, on 20th November 1917 while on passage Gibraltar to Barry in ballast. the crew of 33 including two Royal Navy gunners (she was armed with a light gun aft), were brought ashore by rocket apparatus.. She soon broke her back and was deemed a constructive total loss; being later broken up for scrap. The remains are not always visible except on occasion when heavy ground seas scoop away the covering sand, In the 1980's(?) a team of local enthusiasts recovered her propeller shaft which was donated to Bude Museum. Also understand that another part of the shaft was used to perch the barrel on Barrel Rock at the end of Bude Sea Breakwater.
Images exploring Devon & Cornwall's remote inspiring landscapes, breathtaking coast, ruins and shipwrecks in this beautiful part of SW England, UK. The stunning natural beauty of the area, which changes with the light, seasons and coastal climate, is constantly inspiring. There is so much history here too with human occupation spanning millennia. A photographer's dream. My photos are mostly taken spontaneously in less visited places or from unusual viewpoints. If they hold your attention, lift your spirit, make you ask questions, make you smile or fire your imagination and your wish to explore then it is more than enough reward....although you can buy prints too! ;)My photos mostly explore beautiful rural North Devon & Cornwall...

Very nice photo great history Richard!!! L
Richard Brookes replied:
Thanks Marvin. I find these old wrecks quite poignant and fascinating. This stretch of coast was quite treacherous especially without modern navigational aids. I discovered this wreck at a very low tide & didn't know anything about it or even that it was there.
