Description
The narrow topped headland of Higher Sharpnose Point thrusts its immense mass of rock into the wild Atlantic near to Morwenstow on the spectacular North Cornwall coast, England, UK. A lone hiker gives some idea of scale. Shaped by massive geological forces, the headland has sheer drops on both sides of around 300 feet (100m). This and other nearby rock outcrops have proved treacherous for shipping, particularly in the days of sail.
